Congratulations to Sonny for making Grandmaster in Open. He had already achieved this feat in Production but now adds Open to his GM credentials and to think all while he was only 18 years old!

In 2014, Sonny attended the Alabama USPSA Section Championship in Phenix City, Al., March 14-15 where he won High Overall in Production Division. He was then seen shooting the USPSA Area 6 Championship in Covington, GA, April 11-13 where he also won High Overall in Production Division. Then he shot the Maryland State IDPA Championship, May 2-3 in Lexington Park, Md where he won ESP Division Champion. Sonny then headed to the Virginia State IDPA Championship in Bristol, Va., June 28 where he placed first SSP Master and High Industry. Next he was at the USPSA Area 8 Championship in Fredericksburg, VA., August 28-31 where he placed 3rd Overall in Production Division. Next he was off to Saint George, UT for the USPSA Handgun Nationals on September 25-28 where he placed 6th Overall In Production Division. Sonny then headed back to Frostproof, FL to represent the United States on the Production Junior Team at the 2014 World Shoot where they won the Junior World Team Gold Medal. Make sure and check back in 2015 as we are sure Sonny will have another great year.

In 2013, Sonny attended the Florida Open in Frostproof, Fl., February 14-17 where he finished fourth in Production division. He was then seen shooting the USPSA Area 6 Championship in St. Augustine, Fl., April 19-21 where he finished third in Production division. He then shot the VA/MD Sectional Championship, May 17-19 in Fredericksburg, Va. and finished in second place in Production division. Sonny then headed to the Virginia State IDPA Championship in Bristol, Va., June 22 where he finished high overall in ESP division. He then shot the USPSA Area 8 Championship in Monroeville, Pa., August 8-11 where he came in second in Production division. Then he went back to Frostproof, Fl. for the US IPSC National Championship, October 8-13 where he finished tenth overall with most of the best shooters in the world in attendance. Off to Tulsa, Ok. for the USPSA Production Nationals, October 16-19 where he finished fifth overall with the top shooters in the country. Sonny made the trip to Lexington Park, Md. where he finished second in Production at the Maryland State USPSA Championship. In 2012, Sonny attended the U.S. National Steel Championship in Titusville, Fl., March 30 - April 1. He was then seen shooting the USPSA Area 6 Championship in Frostproof, Fl., April 20-22. He then shot the VA/MD Sectional Championship, May 18-20 in Fredericksburg, Va. He also attended the Western Pennsylvania Section Championship in Duncansville, Pa., June 1-3. Sonny then headed to the Virginia State IDPA Championship in Bristol, Va., June 23. He then shot the USPSA Area 8 Championship in Fredericksburg, Va., August 9-12. Sonny then headed back to Frostproof, Fl. for the US IPSC National Championships, September 12-16. Then it was off to Las Vegas for the USPSA Production Nationals, October 13-16 to end the year.

Sonny started 2011 with a bang by taking the High Overall Junior Open Rimfire and High Overall Junior at the U.S. National Steel Championship in Titusville, Fl. He headed back to the Area 6 Championship in Frostproof, Fl. on April 15-17 where he took Top Junior, second A and 12th overall. Sonny then headed north to the Maryland State IDPA Championship at Sanners Lake on April 29 where he took Top Junior and second Master honors. At the Virginia/Maryland Section Championship, Sonny took High Junior in Production division. Then at the Virginia State IDPA Championship in Bristol, Va., Sonny won First Master in ESP Division and High Junior. Sonny took 2nd Overall, 2nd Master and High Junior at the Western Pennsylvania Section Championship in Duncansville, Pa. Sonny then attended the Area 8 Championship in Fredericksburg, Va. where he placed 7th Overall, 2nd Master and Top Junior in Production division. His impressive performance in the USPSA Production Nationals garnered him First Junior, Second Master and 11th overall. This along with Sonny's other impressive performances of his career have elevated him to Grandmaster in Production in USPSA before his 18th birthday. He then traveled to the IPSC Nationals in Gaston, SC on November 5th where he placed 4th overall in Production division. Stay tuned for what promises to be a banner year for Sonny in 2012.
